Determination of Copper in Pooled Blood Plasma by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy

Abstract

|
Copper was determined in pooled blood plasma by atomic absorption spectrophotometry after 1 = 1 dilution of the plasma in 20% trichloroacetic acid with subsequent heating to separate the metals from the protein.
Multiple analyses on a pooled plasma gave a mean of 0.95pg/ml and standard deviation of 0.086 for capper.
